This may come as surprising to you but turkey jerky and even beef jerky make for perfect snacks when trying to eat less fats and more proteins. They are very high in protein which means they are a great snack to have right after your daily workout. It will help you with your daily dosage of protein, it will develop your muscles and keep your cravings in check. Just make sure you get jerky without added sugar on it and you’re all set.
4. Roasted Chickpeas With Spices
Do yourself a favor, if you’ve never tried roasted chickpeas with spices you absolutely need to as soon as possible. They are both spicy and crunchy, delicious and healthy at the same time. You’ll need canned or home boiled chickpeas, some olive oil, salt, pepper, maybe some minced garlic as well. Put them together in a large bowl, mix them well together, then throw them in the oven (again on baking paper) and get ready for a real treat!
5. Roasted Chestnuts
You can have chestnuts in a couple of ways, both boiled or roasted work great. Choose whichever you prefer. Get your baking tray out, cut every chestnut all the way through, place them in the oven, bake them for around 20 minutes at 180 degrees and that’s it. Enjoy a cup of roasted chestnuts!
